ISOLION DUPLAS 01 INSULATION BOARD PLASTERING AND ADHESIVE MORTAR

Application Details:

Surface Preparation:

Surfaces should be clean, smooth, solid and free of substances and waste such as any dust, oil, dirt, rust, mold oil, detergent, etc. which pvent adhesion. If there is segregation in the concrete, loose and loose parts should be disposed and weak parts should be removed. If there are cracks or holes on the floors or walls to be applied, they should be repaired with suitable ISOLION repair mortars.

Application:

25 kg of ISOLION DUPLAS 01 mortar in powder form is mixed with 5-6.5 liters of clean water until a homogeneous mixture is obtained using a low speed mixer or drill. This mixture is let rested for 5-10 minutes to allow maturation and dissolution of chemicals in the mixture and then mixed again.

ADHESIVE APPLICATION:

The ready-to-use mortar is applied on the back surfaces of the boards. There are two application methods;

• Notched trowel combing method;

It is an application method with a notched trowel on the entire back surface of the thermal insulation boards.

• Spot application method;

It is an application made by placing a mortar on spotted positions on the back surface of the thermal insulation boards. As a minimum requirement, 40% of the thermal insulation board should be covered with mortar.

PLASTER APPLICATION:

ISOLION DUPLAS 01 mortar, which becomes ready for use, is applied to the front surfaces of the boards with a trowel at 2-3 mm thickness as the first layer and when the mortar is wet, the glass-fiber mesh is placed in the mortar from top to bottom. The second layer is applied after the first layer of the mortar dries.

During the application, it should be noted that the joints of glass-fiber mesh joints are overlapped on each other 10 cm. If paint application is to be made, at least 2-3 days must pass after application.

Warnings and Recommendations:

• Avoid applications below +5°C and above +30°C.
• Do not add powder or water to the mortar after applicable time.
• Do not apply under direct sunlight and/or wind.
• Avoid application on surfaces exposed to the sun for a long time or frozen or at risk of freezing within 24 hours.
• Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of contact, wash with plenty of water. Immediately seek medical attention at nearest health institution.
